![]() You don’t ever have to choose File → Save to make sure your recent work is safely saved - but you can. Slugline 2 is always automatically saving your work to the file as you write. If you save it to the special iCloud Drive Slugline folder created by Slugline for iOS/iPadOS, you’ll be able to open and edit it in Slugline on your iPhone or iPad. You can save your screenplay file anywhere on your Mac. We highly recommend that you do this initial save early in the writing process. It’s not until the first time you choose File → Save that Slugline prompts you for a name and location. You can create a new document without choosing a name or a location for saving your work. Slugline 2 on macOS follows the standard method of working with files on a Mac. If you want to “force” a save, simply exit back to the file browser. Slugline for iOS/iPadOS is always saving your work as you write. This way you don’t start writing without first establishing how and where your work will be saved. Slugline for iOS/iPadOS forces you to choose a file location and file name at the time you create the screenplay document. It syncs with your iCloud account, so files here will be available on a Mac that is logged in to the same Apple ID. This is the only iCloud location that Slugline for iOS/iPadOS can see. If you save your work in iCloud, Slugline creates a special Slugline folder in your iCloud Drive. With your creative work, two is one, and one is none. Use local files if you don’t care about sync, but do consider backing up your writing. ![]() iCloud is typically available to every Apple device, where Dropbox requires a separate Dropbox account. On iPhone and iPad, you can create new screenplays either in local storage on the device, or in one of two cloud-synced locations: iCloud Drive, or Dropbox. It’s helpful to understand a bit about how Slugline and your various devices work with these files. Each Slugline screenplay document is a file saved in at least one place on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. ![]() With hundreds of emerging knowledge-sharing platforms, data can now be globally distributed before you can say “DNA”. Technological advances simply make things better, and you won’t find anyone doing their taxes on an abacus. On the other hand, there are only a few things we have not modernized for over a century, let alone a millennium. they’re inexpensive and don’t require batteries to run. To be fair, paper lab books have done a fairly decent job up to this point. This poses big repeatability threats, enormous costs and considerable limitations for knowledge sharing within an organization and the community. But does that necessarily imply that it is also the most efficient way of recording scientific data?Įxperimental records that aren’t being digitized account for 17% loss of all research data and lab books are becoming the bottlenecks in information management. Neither are cheap but the build quality and attention to detail shows. Dave at Turtleback used to say “purpose built.” I believe the same can be said for OffGrid. I saw one just listed for sale today here. I worked for them part-time a few years back and owned one. If you want a non teardrop then look at Turtleback trailers. There are a few others which are nice and EVERYTHING is dependent on what you can afford/are willing to spend and how you want to use your vehicle and trailer. It's my garage project trailer and will be used for other adventures. Didn’t I say that about my fourth one? I also own an M100 military trailer. This will be my fifth and hopefully last trailer. Hoping for a cold White Rim trip where I can test the heater! I just placed an order for one through Ken at Campers and Gear. I truly believe these are the most rugged teardrops out there. Hopefully someone lives near, owns one, and can give you a demo. Neither are cheap but the build quality as compared to many other brands is apparent. The quality is equivalent to Turtleback Trailers. No sloppy build quality that plagues the RV market. If I buy one it will be the Expedition 2.0. I will be adding one to my truck but having a room with 4 walls for changing and a bathroom if need be is nice. ![]() One with a room and possibly one just with a bug room. I would have an awning on both sides of the trailer. The plus to that is you can pick how you want to configure it. ![]() I would prefer a larger cooktop but that is not a deal breaker. ![]() I like the side kitchen on the Expedition. I have no need for the traditional rear front door fridge and would prefer that to be storage. If you love to cook then I think you would like the larger prep area. The Pando is too heavy for my taste and I like the departure angle of the Expedition better. ![]() The plug-ins range from basic codec packs and audio visualizers to apps that will enable you to view and interact with 3D objects rather than playing a movie. If you’re more of a casual gamer, then PC3 is more fun to spend blasting around in for an hour or so. PC2 is by far the more serious game – if you’re looking for a simulation game where you can race in a similar manner to real racing, then this is the one to choose. Personally, I don’t mind this too much, as this has never been something I’ve particularly desired, but I can see why people dislike the change, as it makes the races feel much less realistic. This shows how PC3 has shifted further away from being a simulation game and aligning more with mainstream games in the genre. One of the biggest complaints against PC3 was the lack of technical aspects, such as active pit lanes, selecting tyre compounds, and qualifying rounds. PC3 has shifted further away from being a simulation game and aligning more with mainstream games in the genre The third-person camera in PC2 also feels disorientating sometimes, adding to the sense of instability. Graphics-wise, there is a negligible difference – PC3 looks a little crisper and more detailed, but this is nothing major. The motion blur at speed in PC3, which I initially thought was a bit odd, made playing PC2 afterwards feel somewhat slow. Project CARS 3 feels more energetic than Project CARS 2, with it seeming a bit more upbeat through its use of sounds and special effects. ![]() There are some other slight differences as well, such as how the noise of the cars feels rawer and less muted in PC2, although this isn’t a difference you would necessarily notice unless you played them back to back. While it lacks the detailed feeling of PC2, it is much harder to lose control, even with all the driving aids turned off, and the cars feel more predictable. ![]() PC3, on the other hand, feels much more like Forza et al., with the cars being fairly easy to drive. While it takes time to get used to, once you’re in the groove and string a series of corners together correctly, it is very rewarding. The cars’ responses are much more sensitive, and the cars are more difficult to control, with slight mistakes likely to leave you in the gravel. Project CARS 2 was quite a shock for me because it feels more like a proper simulation racing game than any of the other games I have played in this genre. Regarding the actual driving, both Project CARS games feel very distinct from each other. Project CARS 3 feels more energetic than Project CARS 2 This makes it easier to drive the cars you want to, but I feel it lacks the sense of achievement that Project CARS 3 has in saving up to buy each car, giving you a sense of progress as you advance through the game. Instead, you can either use cars applicable to your current races or use any car in free play. Project CARS 2 has a different approach – there is no purchasing of cars. ![]() ![]() Project CARS 3 follows a more traditional approach of gaining XP through races, which then earn you money when you ascend through levels. The way you acquire cars in the games differs, however. The vehicle lists in both games are considerably smaller than that of any recent Forza game, but still cover a decent range of brands and car types, from hot hatches to classic Ferrari racing cars. The addition of Interlagos and Jerez almost make up for this, while including several new street circuits, such as Shanghai and Tuscany, seems to set out the different intention of this game compared to the previous version. However, Project CARS 3 had several notable absences, including Le Mans and Spa Francorchamps. This made the game feel somewhat stale, so I was delighted that Project CARS 2 remedied this with the additions of tracks such as Portimao and Imola – two of the most highly regarded racetracks in Europe. One of my main issues with Forza Motorsport 7 was the tracklist – it had barely grown from previous iterations and it left out many of the most iconic tracks. Having played both Project CARS games for a while, I was surprised at how different they were from both the Forza games and each other, with Project CARS 2 seeming much more like a traditional simulation racing game and Project CARS 3 feeling considerably more laid-back. After playing mostly Forza games for the last few years, I recently purchased Bandai Namco’s Project CARS 2 and 3.
